princess paupr’s Reflections

I just came back from bubbletea with some of my brother’s ryerson CCF friends. It’s always interesting meeting the people he hangs with. Mmm…trying to dig up the dirt on stuff he does. =P

Anyways, before that I went to church to help out with the big passover/Easter production the English congregation (well, mainly hosanna and aletheia) is putting on. It’s happening tomorrow and saturday…The play is about the events around Jesus’ crucificion and those who attend will also eat an authentic Jewish meal.=)

It’s been difficult these past few months being away at University because I do miss my family at TJCAC. Although I can try to come home more often to stay involved in the church, it’s really draining trying to keep up with both fellowships (CCF and Aletheia) and churches. Thus, I tried this term to stay in Waterloo more. However, I’m so happy to hear that God is moving in TJCAC through some really good things. People are bearing fruit and I think it’s evident that we’re striving to live up to being a “vibrant community” for Christ (as it says in our mission statement).

I found out that this past TC, THREE of the teams that won were led by our very own captains from TJCAC! (1st place, 3rd place and spirit award)..the Promiseland ministry is alive and growing…many Hosanna peeps are getting baptized…a new fellowship in the English congregation is about to start up (careers/young adult ?)…the tutoring program on Friday nights as part of the community outreach ministry for Aletheia…Short term missions trips to Quebec (?) and China…

There are so many things to be thankful for. I am so encouraged to see so many people serve so actively and cheerfully…I hope and pray that TJCAC stay focused on making God our center. The Devil can tempt us to think that we’re “doing” a lot; only God knows our hearts.

Anyways…I miss you guys a lot…I thank the Lord each time I remember you.=)
