last summer we made orville’s popcorn every other night and watched movies…Win a Date with Tad Hamilton, Enough, Pirates of the Carribean, Bend It Like Beckham, Legally Blond, Legally Blond 2……..

this summer, we’re both working full time.

Every tuesday and thursday night and saturday and sunday you’re out.

And now you badger me to pay you back…(i just got my first paycheck today, but you asked again like I’m dumb)…so you can go out every tues and thursday night and saturday and sunday.

*shrug*

that’s the way the cookie crumbles.

…but what the heck, it’s for someone S P E C I A L.

This post is dedicated to my dear friend and sister in Christ, Dorkie/dorkinda/dory aka DORINDA MUI.

She wrote about our first meeting (hahah…sounds like Loooove), and how we became friends in her blog, so I’m gonna write about my own reflections on the friendship for the past few years.

When she first asked me to be her “jeh jeh”, I thought it was quite outta the blue. I thought it was one of those “yeah, i’m just playing family, and i don’t really care to know about you or whatever.” I mean, why would she ask me? We really hadn’t talked much beforehand, and there are a lot of older sisters much wiser than me at church. Nevertheless, I agreed. (btw, I can’t believe you remember exactly how I replied=P)

I didn’t know what being a “jeh jeh” entailed, but I would soon find out…I found out being a “big sister” means that I get poked at, jabbed at, kicked at and generally, being bullied. She would also steal my guitar picks, and scarfs and other accessories. All in good fun…I think. I used to be pretty upset because she did that stuff, but then I learned to fight back=) I guess I’d never had the pleasure of having younger sibling playfights before Dorkie..hehe=P

Anyways, since the “jeh jeh” conversation, we’ve had many more interesting conversations. Dorkie’s always there to listen to me rant and complain when I’m having a bad day…I think I share more about my life than she does about her own, but I think I’m cracking her shell (bit by bit). She plays cold and harsh a lot, but I know she cares about me;)

I think the coolest thing is just seeing you (dorkie) grow up through the years. Not that you’re all grown up (because i know even I’M not all grown up=P), but you’ve definitely matured over the years. [ hehe...the pictures are proof! ] Seeing you get baptized, play for the worship team, and take up various leadership roles is very encouraging=) I think it’s AWESOME that you decided to take the step of faith and go to Longlac for missions this year. I know that you’re still unsure about many things, but I pray that you would trust in Him to provide and to guide you through whatever troubles. Remember that “neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation [ including English presentations, projects, ,finals, SCHOOL or annoying boys.... ], will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

I hope and pray that you will continue to grow into the person that God meant for you to be=) Know that I’m here…even if not always online or on the phone=P
