Crunch time

Less than a month left of co-op…I can hardly wait to be finished my wtr and grad applications.

I’ve been having a lot of trouble with my grad apps…I feel like my writing and creativitiness has substantially decreased over the co-op term.  Everything I write just seems blech.

*sigh

Keep on keeping on..

Pilates Express Mat

So I’ve been pretty physically inactive, other than monday night volleyball (which I’ve missed for the past couple weeks cuz I was sick), and climbing stairs at work when I’m not lazy.  Gordon suggested I buy the 10-minute trainer but it’s still a substantial amount of money, and I’m pretty frugal.  I remembered my old housemate was into pilates and got a good workout from it.  And the best part is that it’s inexpensive (comparatively).  All I really need is a mat and maybe some dvds (youtube?).

Today Gord and I were shopping at Wal-mart (yes, we love our monopolies) and we came across HALF PRICE mat…only $20!!

At first I was skeptical about the quality..I mean, it IS wal-mart.  But then I went home and found that the Stott Pilates Mat is linked from About.com in the section on “Before you buy an exercise pilates mat”.  It even comes with a free DVD: Stott Pilates, Sunrise workout and a poster!

Hopefully this will be 20$ well spent.   :)

One of my favourite childhood novels…

You have been my friend. That in itself is a tremendous thing. I wove my webs for you because I liked you. After all, what’s a life, anyway? We’re born, we live a little while, we die. A spider’s life can’t help being something of a mess, with all this trapping and eating flies. By helping you, perhaps I was trying to lift up my life a trifle. Heaven knows anyone’s life can stand a little of that.

There is enough time

There’s enough time to sleep
There’s enough time to dream
There’s enough time to wonder
There’s enough time to grow

There’s enough time to work
There’s enough time to play
There’s enough time to reflect
There’s enough time to pray

There’s enough time to care
There’s enough time to write
There’s enough time to call
There’s enough time to make things right

There’s enough time to love
There’s enough time to hope
There’s enough time to plan
There’s enough time to remember…

He’s got the whole world, in His hands
