Today I walked across a stage with an oversized gown and bowed in front of some fellow who put this blue sash over me.
Convocation marks the end of another chapter in my story… Although many people choose to skip out on this event, I think it holds special meaning. It’s a time to reflect, to look back on where I’ve been and where I am now. I feel very very blessed to have made it this far. I realize that I couldn’t have done it without the prayer and support of family and friends. I also remember that Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like shifting shadows (James 1:17).

For those who don’t know, I’m interning this summer with Toronto City Mission, an inner city organization that works with youths and their families to “achieve positive change by living among the families of our city’s poor communities, and partnering with others”. In particular, I’m helping plan and execute the summer arts camp at the Malvern location. It’s been quite the experience so far…In the beginning I felt so out of place because the other interns are pretty talented in music/arts stuff. I felt un-gifted when I compared myself to them. But yeah, I’m learning that we all are uniquely gifted and it’s not good to compare and measure our worth that way! I love the way my team is gelling together… I think we have the best group:)

So seeing as how Apple came up with its new lineup, I think I’m going to go PRO. I’m so excited.
